FRANCE: Danone reveals new medium-term sales targets | Progresiv
Danone has put forward new targets for sales growth for the medium term, even as it said it would look to boost the profits of its core dairy division.
The group is now aiming for organic sales growth of more than 5% by 2020, as well as at least 200bps growth in operating profit margin at its dairy division. For 2015, it is sticking with an organic sales target of 4%-5% growth, with operating margin to slightly increase from last year’s 12.59%.
CEO Emmanuel Faber, who presented the figures to the group’s investors, said the group will also aim to grow trading operating margin, earnings per share, and cash on an annual basis. By 2022, it is aiming for its dairy division to see 3%-5% growth in organic sales, its bottled water and infant nutrition divisions to see sales grow by 7%-10% each, and its medical nutrition division to see growth of 6%-8%.
