FiiGo, a new player in the proximity retail by Profi | Progresiv
Profi recently launched a new banner of small-format urban stores, FiiGo. The first three stores were opened in Bucharest, in the Victoriei and Stefan cel Mare areas.
Profi is already present in the proximity segment with the City stores, but unlike these, the FiiGo units have a narrower assortment, but better adapted to the needs of the proximity buyers, favoring the on-the-go categories. Thus, different salads, pastas, sandwiches are available on the shelf, but there is also the possibility to purchase menus (a drink and a sandwich).
The new concept also brings changes to the layout and design level. For example, the dominant color will be green, and in design we are talking about a modern, urban concept.
Most probably we talk about a test concept and through these inaugurations, the retail chain operated by Profi Rom Food reaches 1,160 stores nationwide, being the largest player in the modern retail market in Romania in terms of chain size. The company ended 2018 with a turnover of 5.9 billion lei, up by 25% compared to the previous year.
Contacted by Progressive, company representatives did not want to provide details about this project.
