D’aucy Romania targets a business of 3.5 million euros in 2016 | Progresiv
D'aucy Romania, part of the French group of the same name and one of the main players on the local and international canned vegetables market, estimates to end fiscal year 2016 with a turnover of 3.5 million euros, up by 6 % compared to 2015. 
"We operate on the local market since 2011 and every year our business grows. This year we estimate a 6% increase in turnover compared to the previous year when we reported sales of 3.3 million euros. At present our best selling product is corn, followed closely by peas, the two accounting for about 60% of our sales", said Crina Zdravcu, commercial director of D'aucy Romania.
Currently, the company sells 42 products on the local market under the d’aucy brand, including BIO products range and one dedicated to dedicated to children - d'aucy kids, and another 29 under the Globus brand. They are distributed directly to more than 850 locations in major modern retail chain but through distributors, are also present in other types of stores and also in HoReCa.
"In terms of segmentation on sales channels, we achieve about 57% of sales in large retail chains, 32% through distributors and 11% from HoReCa", added the manager.
The company analyzes the opportunity to enter the segment of frozen vegetables.
The representative of d'aucy in Romania is active since 2011. The company is part of the French d'aucy Group, a cooperative who’s main directions of development are supply of vegetables, meat and eggs and agricultural activities. Locally, the company is present only with the brand of canned vegetables. D'aucy Group has 30 production facilities in three countries, 9,000 members of the cooperative (farmers collaborating which are, mostly, shareholders) and 4,500 employees. Last year, the group reported a business of 1.3 billion euros, cumulative across all divisions.
