CROATIA: PepsiCo to change bottlers in Croatia | Progresiv
PepsiCo has confirmed it will switch production in Croatia after current partner Badel 1862 exited the soft drinks category. The Pepsi and Tropicana owner told just-drinks that it will transfer its bottling business to a new partner. The partner will be announced "in due time", it said.
The company added: "We remain committed to the Croatian market, and we assure our clients and customers that we will continue to distribute our portfolio of products here, observing the highest standards and product quality."
Badel 1862 announced last week that it is to leave the non-alcoholic beverage market to focus on its core spirits and wine portfolios. The company produces PepsiCo's Pepsi range in the region.
Zagreb-based Badel is 67.68%-owned by the Croatian government and operates brands including Badel Pelinkovac herbal liqueur. (www.just-drinks.com)
