Cristian Popa leaves Intersnack Romania’s management | Progresiv
Cristian Popa, the executive who has led the local operations of Intersnack for the last five years, leaves the company’s management.
The manager joined the Intersnack Romania team in 2013 as Commercial Director and a year later he took over the position of General Manager from Cristian Rey.
Cristian Popa is one of the managers with old status in the consumer goods industry, having 27 years experience in the market. He started his career in 1992 as a sales representative for the JTI cigarette producer. Two years later, he became Sales Director of Stimorol, and in 1995 he joined the sales team of Procter & Gamble.
Among the companies in which Cristian Popa has worked are InBev Romania, but also Tnuva, where he managed the sales department.
Until now, representatives of Intersnack Romania have not communicated who will take over the management of the company. Last year, Intersnack Romania reported business of 417.32 million lei, up by 4% compared to the previous year and a profit of 5.7 million lei, double compared to the result reported in 2017. The company is one of the most important players in the salty snacks market, with an annual market share of 23.6% (according to Nielsen, YTD September 2018).
