Cora hypermarkets report losses again | Progresiv
Cora hypermarkets chain, operated locally by Romania Hypermarche SA, reported for the financial year 2018 a turnover of 1.75 billion lei, slightly decreased compared to the previous year, when revenues amounted to 1.77 billion lei. 
Regarding profitability, the retailer reported on minus in 2018, with losses of about 39 million lei. Moreover, if we look at the evolution of the indicator in the last 5 years, 2017 was the only year with a positive result, the cumulative losses in the period 2012-2016 amounting to over 85 million lei, the largest losses being reported in 2015 (about 40 million lei).
Part of the Louis Delhaize Group, Cora Romania has been present on the Romanian market since 2003. The retailer currently operates 11 hypermarkets in Bucharest and in major cities. In 2013, Cora launched the cora.ro platform, being the first large-scale commercial chain with drive delivery in Romania.
