Confectionery producer Pan Food to invest 1.5 million euros in production | Progresiv
Pan Food, the confectionery producer from Sibiu present for 19 years on the market, has invested 1.5 million euros in production and storage, while also launching a new brand of wafers.
The investment was supported by European funds. "We started eager to make the best homemade chocolate and, after 19 years, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our business and the fact that we are among the few companies producing and not just importing sugary products in Romania. In our factory, which produced 2-3 chocolate variants, there are now dozens of new products available”, says Ioan Stanea, Pan Food Administrator.
The company has launched the Spiraline wafers brand on the market, in three variants - cocoa, coconut and vanilla. The products are marketed in traditional trade and will be listed in modern retail chains.
For this year the company estimates to reach a turnover of 20 million lei.
Pan Food was founded in 2001 by Ioan Stanea and Gheorghe Pristavu. Until 2006 the activity of the company was carried out in two spaces rented in Sibiu. In 2007 they built a factory, which currently occupies over 3,000 square meters in the P2 Industrial Park in Sura Mica, Sibiu County. The company's portfolio includes products such as Batonul Copilariei, Lica cake with wafer layers and caramel sugar, Cindrel nougat and Bliss.
With accelerated growth over the past three years, 30% of Pan Food's production is currently distributed to countries in Europe, the United States and Canada.
