Coca-Cola HBC volumes in Romania, on plus for the fifth consecutive quarter | Progresiv
Soft drinks bottler Coca-Cola HBC Romania reported in the first three months of the year a high single digits advance (between 5% and 9%) in volumes, with consistent performance across the entire product portfolio.This is the fifth consecutive quarter of growth for Coca-Cola HBC on the local market, according to the financial report released by the company. 
"We recorded a good performance in all categories, the growth being mainly driven by the carbonated category, an importat contribution having the still water and juice category. In terms of packaging mix, it registered an advance of 1.8%, supported by the single serving packs in the carbonated soft drinks category", the report mentioned.
At group level, Coca-Cola HBC reported a slight increase in volumes, the number of units sold reporting an advance of 0.1% to 439.6 million crates.
"We had a good start of the year, in line with our plans. We are encouraged by the growth in emerging and developing markets", said Dimitris Lois, Coca-Cola HBC General Director.
In terms of revenue, the bottler reported in the first quarter of 2016 a decline of 2.7%, to 1.32 billion euros due to exchange rate differences.
Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company is one of the largest bottlers of Coca-Cola worldwide, with operations in 28 countries, and a total volume of 2 billion unit cases per year.
