Chep has exceeded the 80 million lei threshold in Romania | Progresiv
Chep Romania, the subsidiary of the world leader in innovative solutions for the supply chain and part of the Brambles group, reported revenues of 17.5 million euros (over 80 million lei), representing an annual increase of 30% in the fiscal year ended on June 30 2019.
The most dynamic sector in terms of demand for pallet rental services is still the beverage sector, a significant demand also coming from the sectors of cleaning and personal hygiene products, respectively bottled vegetable oil.
In the last fiscal year reported, the local customers of the logistics service provider saved in the supply chain approximately 5,800 m3 of wood, 6,700 tonnes of CO2 emissions and 550 tonnes of waste.
“In the current legislative context, which reflects environmental issues, it is increasingly evident that waste management, emissions and wood consumption have important implications for the Retail and FMCG sectors. In the last year, the increase of the number of companies interested in obtaining maximum financial efficiency and regarding the environmental indicators has visibly accentuated. Each company, in its turn, has created a circular ecosystem starting from its own supply chain, promoting the concepts of renting, reusing and collaborating to its trading partners. The interest for solutions typical of the circular economy is a trend that will continue in the years to come", said Gabriel Ivan, Country General Manager Chep Romania.
The company serves the national retail and FMCG market through two service centers located in Ploiesti and Timisoara.
