Carrefour France unveils 'Next' hypermarket concept | Progresiv
Carrefour France opened a newly remodelled hypermarket under the ‘Next’ banner. The new concept comes after the introduction of another hypermarket concepts by the retailer in February 2019. The store, located at Dijon Toison d’Or, is the first big-box store to carry the ‘Next’ concept.
A restaurant zone under the name of 'Fresh Avenue' comprises seven food stands with a seating capacity for nearly 200 people, located at the entrance of the store. Next is represented as an easy and functional store for customers who are familiar with the layout of the Dijon site. Less space is dedicated to non-food with a notable quality improvements across various departments and sections.
The selling area of the store is now a little over 11,000 sq.m. from the initial size of about 15,000 sq.m. owing to reduced space in the non-food section. The retailer plans to expand the 'Next' concept to three other stores at Marseille Bonneveine, Anglet and Flins. (www.kantarretailiq.com)
