Carrefour builds new logistics centre in Poland | Progresiv
Carrefour has contracted Panatonni Europe for the development of the retailer’s fifth logistics centre, in Bydgoszcz, Poland, to open in early 2017. 
The centre will span over 38,000 square meters of which 9,000 square meters cold store area, will handle food and non-food products and will service all of Carrefour’s formats in the Northern and Western part of the country.
The warehousing section is divided into several controlled-temperature storage areas. In th cold store, which will take up approximately 9,000 square meters, featuring an ammonia refrigeration system and additional roof insulation, meat and dairy will be stored at 0-2º C, and fruit and vegetables at 4-7º C. Moreover, the warehouse racks will be suitable for high storage, as well as for storing dangerous goods. LED lighting will be installed in the entire facility. The loading area will provide room for about 96 forklifts, while the external car park will feature 40 spaces for trucks and 123 spaces for passenger cars. (www.property-magazine.eu)
