Carrefour Belgium to open Bio stores from July | Progresiv
Carrefour Belgium opens a Carrefour Bio store in the south of Brussels at the beginning of July. The opening of the Carrefour automated store concept will be postponed to the end of this year.
In May, during an interview with Gondola, Geoffroy Gersdorff, Secretary General at Carrefour, emphasized that Carrefour has the ambition to open a specialized organic store in our country. A concept that fits perfectly with Carrefour's ambition to become number one in organic in our country. In France, the retailer has had its own Carrefour Bio store for some time, and it will soon be Belgium's turn. According to La Libre, Carrefour Bio will open its doors at the beginning of July.
This first specialized organic store from Carrefour is said to be located in the south of Brussels. Two or three stores are planned and would open their doors by the end of this year. In time, the retailer wants to open thirty Carrefour Bio stores under its own management, alongside those that will be operated by franchisees.
Another concept that has been purchased for a long time is the automated store concept. That was originally supposed to open its doors in January this year, but the opening date has always been postponed, so that it is now planned for the end of this year. (www.gondola.be)
