Carrefour Belgium to launch online meal boxes | Progresiv

Carrefour will trial selling ‘Simply You Box’ cooking meal boxes online via 5 hypermarkets and 5 supermarkets in Belgium starting 1st October. The retailer will offer 9 different meal options each week as suggestions for the following week, out of which shoppers can chose 3 by Wednesday midnight and pick them up the following Monday. Fulfilment is done via collection in Carrefour’s stores or Drive locations.

All meals are curated by Carrefour’s nutritionists and chefs, include as many local ingredients as possible and are aimed to be simple to cook. Cooking instructions are included in the box and also can be accessed on Carrefour’s dedicated platform at simplyyoubox.be. Shoppers can opt in or out for regular ingredients and also receive wine suggestions.

Carrefour will price the boxes at 40 euros for 3 meals for 2 people and 60 euros for 3 meals for 4 people with a promotional offer during the launch of the service. (www.kantarretailiq.eu)
