BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA: Konzum to invest 15 million euros and open 20 new stores | Progresiv
Croatian retailer Konzum will this year create 300 jobs and invest 30 million Bosnian Convertible Marka (15 million euros) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of operations on the Bosnian market, Konzum CEO, Adnan Šteta, said the investments will focus on the opening of 20 new and adaptation of 30 existing stores, as well as the modernization and expansion of its logistics base. 
The largest retail chain in Bosna and Herzegovina announced that it will distribute this year 16,000 tons of fruits and vegetables, more than 2,000 tons of chicken, over 130 tons of fish, 11.2 million litters of milk, ten million pieces of pastry and 25 million table eggs, all from domestic production.
Konzum cooperates locally with more than 700 suppliers, among them more than 400 producers.
In a related development, Konzum’s parent company Agrokor has signed a €325 million financing agreement with a syndicate of banks to be repaid in 18 months. (www.esmmagazine.com)
