Auchan Russia to unify formats under umbrella brand | Progresiv
Auchan Retail Russia announced it will convert all of its formats to a single banner aiming to consolidate its omni-channel brand position in the market. The project is planned to roll out during the next 18 months and go beyond changing store logos to making adjustments in the store formats themselves. 
‘Auchan Supermarket’ will incorporate formats ranging from 800 to 4,000 square meters selling area (including Atak) addressing smaller baskets and daily shopping trips. All stores will be fitted with an in-store bakery.
‘My Auchan’ will incorporate formats between 200 and 500 square meters selling area with an increased on-the-go, ready-to-eat offer.
The move is part of a larger group initiative first announced for France in late September 2016. (www.kantarretailiq.com)
