Apemin Tusnad invests 4 million euros in a new bottling line | Progresiv
20 years after its establishment, the company increases production capacity by 40% following a 4 million euros investment in a new mineral water bottling line, implemented in partnership with Sidel - part of Tetra Laval Group.
Unlike the old bottling lines, all the operations of forming, filling and closing the bottles are carried out in a single monoblock group, compact and fully automated, in a controlled atmosphere and outside human contact, eliminating any risk of microbiological contamination of the products.
According to the company, the increase of the production capacities ensures flexibility in relation with the distributors and the short-term delivery of significant quantities of carbonated and still mineral water.
Moreover, Apemin Tușnad announces that it will continue to reduce its ecological footprint, therefore, this year, all three brands in the portfolio - Tusnad, Artesia and Izvorul Ascuns, will make the switch to the new "shorty" caps. Together with the new low weight packages, they achieve an average savings of 5% on the plastic consumption for each package.
Established in 1999 through the division of Perla Harghita, Apemin Tusnad is one of the main companies in the mineral water market in Romania. With entirely local capital, the company has 158 employees, the volumes of bottled water reaching 100 million liters in 2019. In 2018 - 2019, the company made investments of over eight million euros. Besides the Tusnad natural carbonated mineral water, the company launched in July 2018 Artesia - its new still natural mineral water. The product portfolio is supplemented by Izvorul Ascuns - carbonated and still table water.
