German retailer Kaufland reported RON11,9bn in revenue for last year, a growth of around 9% when compared to 2018.
The profit also grew, reaching RON847m (RON59m), according to the Romanian Ministry of Finance.
Kaufland opened 7 new stores in 2019, with 4 others available to customers since the beginning of this year.
The retailer entered the local market in 2005 and expanded each year by 4 to 13 stores. For this year, the investment budget stands at EUR300m.
