Spar Austria to invest 21 million euros in local shopping centre | Progresiv
Spar Austria is building a new Interspar hypermarket at a shopping centre in the city of Steyr, following an investment of 21.1 million euros.
The work is set to be complete by late 2018, offering job opportunities to around 200 people in the Interspar outlet, as well as Hervis, Media Markt and some new partners.
"In just over a year, the first customers will experience a new shopping paradise here," said Markus Kaser, managing director of Interspar Austria.
He added that the majority of the stores will remain open during the construction period, however, the Interspar restaurant is expected to be temporarily closed from spring to autumn 2018.
Kaser said that the redesign project will create a "friendly, bright and soothing shopping experience". (www.esmmagazine.com)
