ROMANIA: Rostar wants 10% higher business this year | Progresiv
The Rostar biscuits producer, who owns a factory in Bragadiru (near Bucharest), estimates this year a 10% increase in turnover based on new product launches and investment in a sales team dedicated to traditional trade, said for Progresiv Halil Bulut, President of the company.
"We want an increase of 10% per total turnover, an increase we intend to get from launches based on our > products and investing in a sales team dedicated to traditional trade," said Halil Bulut.
The company ended last year with a turnover of 8 million euros.
Among the challenges faced by the company are finding quality labor, wage growth, production costs due to volatility in the energy industry or logistics, transportation costs.
The Rostar business was founded by Halil Bulut, who in 1996 invested almost three million dollars in the construction of the Bragadiru biscuit factory. Currently, the production capacity of the plant exceeds 50 tons of biscuits per day, with an average of 319 employees. The most important export market is Bulgaria. Exports generate 3.3% of Rostar's business.
