ROMANIA: Owner of Bazarul cu Mirodenii puts the business up for sale | Progresiv
Mihai Florea, the entrepreneur who owns the Bazarul cu Mirodenii (Spices Bazaar), put the business up for sale, making it clear that the decision is based on personal reasons.
Bazarul cu Mirodenii was born in 2013, the store being initially inaugurated near Cismigiu Park, following an investment of 30,000 euros.
However, almost two years after the inauguration, Mihai Florea realized that the space was not the best choice, the main reason being the low customer traffic so he moved the store to the ground floor of a building on Dorobanti Street. This year, the store underwent a new relocation, this time in the Victoriei area.
The assortment includes a wider variety of products (over 200 SKUs) and, apart from classical spices, more special products such as galangal, lime leaves, lemongrass, different types of are available in the store, as well as more special peppermint assortments: cubebs or long pepper.
Apart from the physical store, Bazarul cu Mirodenii business also includes an online sales platform where the average order value is 100 lei. The company ended 2016 with a business of about 90,000 lei, according to data reported to the Ministry of Finance.
