ROMANIA: Food, beverages and tobacco sales, +8% in the first two months of the year | Progresiv
Trade of food, beverages and tobacco reported in the first two months of this year an increase of 8,2% as gross series and an advance of 8,4% depending on the number of working days and seasonality compared to the same period of last year, announced the National Institute of Statistics. 
In February, sales increased by 8% both in gross series and seasonally adjusted compared to February last year. Compared to January, however, sales declined 0.2% as gross series but slightly advanced depending on the number of working days and seasonality (+ 0.8%).
Overall, the volume of retail sales, excluding car sales, reported an increase of 8.3% in gross series and 8.7% in terms of number of working days and seasonality for the first two months of 2018.
