Farmec, the most important Romanian cosmetics producer, has reached 11 stores under the Gerovital banner and plans to expand its chain with eight new locations in 2018, the company announced.
The Cluj company is the first local player in this industry to create its own Gerovital and Farmec brand stores (19 stores). In the first half of this year, the chain reported a turnover of over one million euros.
"A year ago, from the desire to offer our consumers a perfect brand experience, we opened our first Gerovital store in Romania, in Bucharest. Two more openings followed by the end of 2016 - Constanta and the second store in the Capital. (...) We aim to bring this concept to all major cities in the country. Thus, for 2018 we planned the inauguration of 8 new Gerovital brand stores", said Mircea Turdean, general director of Farmec.
In 2017, for the opening of Gerovital's new stores, totaling almost 400 square meters, half a million euros was allocated, and the main investment areas were: space planning, consultants’ training, the acquisition of dermo-analysis equipment and promotion. Among these stores, the biggest sales are reported by the commercial space in Veranda Mall in Bucharest, inaugurated in November 2016.
From the end of 2016 to the second half of 2017, the average shopping cart in stores grew by 25%.
