ROMANIA: Carrefour launches self check-out concept in Baneasa | Progresiv
Carrefour Romania has launched the self service check-out in its Baneasa hypermarket, a cash register that uses the advantages of technology and where customers have the opportunity to scan and pay for themselves the purchased products.
"Customers are invited to the Carrefour Baneasa hypermarket to discover this pilot project and to try their own new home self-service check-out, which makes it easy to shop in two simple steps: scanning products at the special cash register and paying products with their card through the Carrefour Pay mobile application", said Andreea Mihai, marketing and communication director at Carrefour Romania.
The area dedicated to the new service includes four self check-outs, where a supervisor is permanently located.
The French retailer is not the only one in our country to adopt the technology to simplify the process of scanning and paying for purchases, several Kaufland and Auchan hypermarkets having similar customer services.
