ROMANIA: Carrefour expands the Bringo service to 5 other cities | Progresiv
French retailer Carrefour has expanded its Bringo service to 5 other cities in the country, and the platform can now be used by consumers in 18 cities. Thus, Bringo is now available in Ploiesti, Sibiu, Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Timisoara and Targu Jiu. Moreover, by the end of 2019, the retailer plans Bringo to be available in all cities where hypermarket stores operate, said Catalin Samara, COO Carrefour. 
Bringo was launched in the market in 2016 and is an integrated platform that includes a client application, a delivery system and a back system that coordinates everything. This way, customers can choose from where they want to buy a product, place the order, which is immediately allocated to the vendors who may be within one kilometer of the commercial unit. Shopping is paid at home and the transport fee is 19.99 lei.
Carrefour became the majority shareholder of Bringo in 2017, and through the app, the retailer offers customers the ability to shop in over 20 stores, the delivery being made in 90 minutes.
