Annabella, the retail store chain owned by Dorina and Dan Mutu, ended 2017 with a 18% increase in sales from 2016, to 257.9 million lei, according to information provided by the company.
"Expansion has played a leading role in the turnover, but also the proximity stores' tendency to gain ground before hypermarkets. Last year, we opened eight commercial units, three of them in Valcea County, three in Curtea de Arges and two in Pitesti, a market where we were not present until the end of last year", said Dorina Mutu, General Director of the chain.
The investments amounted to over 2 million euros in total, and part of the budget was allocated for the remodeling of seven commercial units in Valcea County.
As for the plans for this year, the retailer placed on the priority list the enlargement in the same formats as before. "We want to strengthen our position in the Oltenia region and offer our customers superior comfort in shopping", the entrepreneur added.
Annabella is one of the largest 100% Romanian food retail chains, currently having 67 stores, located predominantly in Valcea County.
