Polish Government passed a law banning trade on Sundays | Progresiv
According to the Trade Restriction Act, passed by the Polish House of Parliament (Sejm), there will be two business Sundays in a month effective March 1, 2018 and one in a month in 2019. Since 2020, it will be entirely forbidden to trade on all Sundays but specific seven in a year. 
The act lists businesses exempted from Sunday trading ban, which consist of petrol convenience stores, kiosks selling press, public transport tickets and tobacco, pharmacies, post offices, bakeries, pastry shops, ice cream shops, florists, as well as cemetery shops selling wreaths and candles. Trade in hospitality establishments, commute hubs and fun fair stalls will also be exempted.
Independent store owners will be able to trade on Sunday if they will work in the store themselves. Breach of the trade ban will result in a penalties ranging from PLZ1,000 to PLZ100,000.
