Laptaria cu Caimac to begin exports to Germany and Great Britain | Progresiv
Launched in June 2018, Laptaria cu Caimac brand, owned by Agroserv Mariuta, is currently present in over 600 stores and plans for this year aim at expanding into modern and specialized retail, launching new products and starting exports to Germany and Great Britain.
If in July 2018 1,100 bottles of milk and 500 yogurt jars were sold weekly, in February 2019, sales increased to 16,000 bottles of milk, 13,250 yogurt jars, 7,500 bottles of milk and beaten milk, 2750 sour cream jars, 750 curdled cheese boxes and 150 kg of other cheeses.
"The development plans include the expansion of Laptaria cu Caimac in the Shop & Go chain, but we are also in talks with four other supermarket chains and local grocery chains. In addition to expanding in stores, we want to release 10 new products by the end of 2019. Soon will arrive at the shelves products such as cream, baked sour cream and several types of cheeses. Also in 2019, we want to develop ingredients for ice cream such as condensed milk or condensed whey, but also go to the HoReCa segment and cafes. This year we are also considering expanding to countries such as Germany and Great Britain", said Adrian Cocan, Manager Laptaria cu Caimac.
Laptaria cu Caimac products are found in over 600 stores, including 400 of the Mega Image chain, but also in other stores in Bucharest, Brasov, Calarasi, Cluj, Constanta, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomita, Ilfov, Prahova, Timis and Valcea.
Agroserv Mariuta, the company that owns the Laptaria cu Caimac brand, had a turnover of 9.1 million euros in 2018.
Laptaria cu Caimac has its own farm, and the processing plant, in which have been invested over 5 million euros, has a technical processing capacity of about 75 tons of milk a day. Modern processing techniques allow pasteurization of milk at a lower temperature than the usual average to preserve the true taste of cow's milk and as much as possible of the nutrients.
