Kaufland boss Patrick Kaudewitz surprisingly leaves the supermarket chain. The 55-year-old manager will be eliminated with immediate effect, said a Kaufland representative in Neckarsulm. He resigned his office for personal reasons. 
Kaudewitz has been at the head of the supermarket chain since 2015, which belongs to the Schwarz Group. Overall, the manager worked for more than 26 years for the group, which also belongs to Lidl.
Thus, the boss of the supermarket chain steps in the middle of the expansion phase. Kaufland announced that it would expand its business to Australia. The supermarket chain wants to invest just under 290 million euros in Down Under.
