Danone Romania exceeded in H1 the profit reported for the entire previous year | Progresiv
Danone Romania, leader of the yogurt market, reported in the first half of this year a turnover of 233 million lei and a profit of 20 million lei, above the result reported for the entire last year. 
Thus, in 2016, the company reported a turnover of 479 million lei, in a slight contraction compared to the previous year, while in terms of profit the French made progress near the threshold of 16 million lei, 20% higher than in 2015.
"We are very pleased with the evolution of Danone Romania in the first half of 2017, when we reported a turnover of 233 million lei, with the contribution of our key brands that add value to consumers: two-digit growth for Actimel and strong growth for Danonino, Danette and Activia", said Natalia Gelshtein-Kiss, Danone's local operations manager since April this year.
The company has in its portfolio dozens of product assortments, mostly made in the Bucharest factory. The Danone factory produced the first yoghurts in 1999, and today more than 1 million yogurts are produced on average daily, processing annually over 55 million liters of milk, mainly from farms or households in Romania.
