Coca-Cola HBC Romania’s volume sales rose by 6% last year | Progresiv
Coca-Cola HBC Romania, the leader of the soft drinks industry, reported last year an increase in volume sales by 6% to 177 million crates (over one billion liters) compared to 2016, according to the company's financial report. 
The local evolution was supported by all categories. The carbonated drink category has grown by 5-6%, with Coca-Cola and Fanta brands growing similarly. Instead, the Sprite brand displayed 5% less volumes. On the opposite side, the Schweppes brand increased its volumes by between 10% and 16%.
Also, the category of noncarbonated beverages increased in volume by 8-9%.
At the level of emerging markets, from which Romania is also part of along with countries such as Ukraine, Serbia, Armenia, Bulgaria or Russia, Coca-Cola HBC showed an increase of 2.7% in volume, up to one billion crates (over 6.2 billion liters).
In total, Coca-Cola HBC reported last year in the 28 countries where it operates sales of 2 billion crates (over 11 billion liters).
Coca-Cola HBC owns three factories in Romania, in Timisoara, Vatra Dornei and Ploiesti.
