Coca-Cola HBC Romania maintains its growth pace in Q1 | Progresiv
Coca-Cola HBC continues its growth on the local market, reporting in the first quarter an increase in volumes of between 5 and 9% (high single digits), according to the financial report published by the company. 
"Carbonated beverages have seen a two-digit increase in volumes, a performance supported by sugar-free variants. Schweppes volumes increased by more than 20%, with the brand continuing to benefit from the 2018 re-launch that included new packaging and flavors, as well as marketing investments. As for the non-carbonated segment, volumes remained stable, with an increase of about 5% for water", the company's report said.
The emerging markets region, which includes Romania, increased by 5.7% in volume to 248.7 million unit cases. The result reflects strong growth in Nigeria in the first quarter, as well as expansion in Russia, Romania and Ukraine. Both carbonated and noncarbonated beverages reported an increase in volumes of about 5%. If we refer to net sales, they reported an advance of 6.4%, to 612.9 million euros.
At group level, the bottler reported an increase of 3.5%, to 469.2 million units, while net sales reached 1.41 billion euros, up by 4.4% .
