Carrefour Spain to open 24-hour hypermarket | Progresiv
Carrefour will open in Madrid the first hypermarket that opens 24 hours a day in Spain to respond to the needs of consumers who claim to make purchases outside of normal hours, according to a company statement. 
The retailer already offers online commerce and 24-hour opening in seven Carrefour Market in Madrid, an option that now expands with this schedule to the format of the hypermarket.
The new establishment will open its doors on December 12 in the Vallecas neighborhood of Madrid and will have more than 7,000 square meters of sales room, 30 boxes of output and 1,278 parking spaces.
The hypermarket will employ about 200 people, which is 10% more than the staff of a center with similar characteristics, to cover the different shifts and take care of the quality and service standards that characterize the firm. The store spans over 7,000 square meters of selling area, has 30 checkouts and will employ around 200 staff.
