Carrefour Spain to install post offices inside its hypermarkets | Progresiv
Carrefour wants to share its hypermarkets with other companies, a commitment of the company worldwide to make its large commercial space more efficient. And, in Spain, the first tenant will be Correos . The Spanish company and the distribution company have agreed to install a courier office inside the hypermarket of the Plaza Norte 2 Shopping Center in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid).
This initiative is the first establishment of another company that is installed within Carrefour's cash line. In this sense, Correos also opens in its presence in a hypermarket, although the postal company already has a presence in other shopping centers but on the other side of the boxes.
"This is the first store within a hypermarket, but it is not ruled out to extend this agreement to more centers," explained representatives from the French chain. The post offices in Carrefour will allow customers to pay receipts and traffic tickets, purchase prepaid cards, recharge phones or buy tickets for events. "It is an offer aimed at facilitating the daily efforts of citizens in a single point", says the parcel company.
For Correos this agreement means another alternative to offer its services near the citizen, with a delivery and collection office within the large area. "We seek to be as close to the client as possible. What better to be providing a service at the same time you are going shopping", says Todd Hooper, director of Offices and Financial Services of Correos.
For the French chain, this pact allows it to enhance "all the experiences where the consumer who comes to the centers benefits from systems such as Carrefour Drive, Click and Collect or the Mi Carrefour App that allow them to buy and pick up their purchases whenever they want, save time with flexible hours always through reliable and professional attention", details the general director of Carrefour hypermarkets, Santiago Gutiérrez.
