Campari records good 9M growth | Progresiv
Gruppo Campari has reported a strong rise in sales and profits for the first three quarters of its current fiscal year, helped by improvements in key markets.
For the nine months, sales were up 8.1% to 1.28 billion (+6.2% organic basis), with adjusted operating profit up 9.9% to 257.3 million euros (+5.9% organic), and adjusted pre-tax profit up 22.3% to 224.6 million euros.
Sales of its ‘Global Priorities’ brands were up 7.4% on an organic basis, boosted by the growth of Aperol and Campari in particular. Sales of its ‘Regional Priorities’ grew by 13.5%, helped by a 56.2% jump of its Espolòn brand and a 31.2% increase in the Bulldog brand.
CEO Bob Kunze-Concewitz said the company had delivered “sustained growth, both in organic and reported terms, across all performance indicators.” He added: “Looking at the remainder of the year, our outlook remains fairly balanced and unchanged … we remain confident in achieving a positive performance across key indicators for the year, driven by the outperformance of the high-margin global and regional priorities in key developed markets.” (www.kamcity.com)
