Beiersdorf reports solid YTD results | Progresiv
Beiersdorf has reported a solid rise in sales for the first three quarters of its current fiscal year, helped by growth across all divisions and regions.
For the nine months to 30 September, overall sales were up 4.9% to 5.28 billion euros (+5.1% organic basis). The results were boosted by a 3.1% rise in sales across Europe (+2.8% organic), a 5.7% increase in the Americas (+3.6% organic), and a 7.8% jump in Africa/Asia/Australia (+10% organic).
The Consumer Business saw sales grow by 3.8% to 4.34 billion euros (+3.9% organic sales), with sales of Nivea up 3.7%, Eucerin up 2.4%, Hansaplast up 2.7%, and La Prairie surging up 13.5%. Meanwhile, the tesa adhesives unit recorded a 10.6% increase to 945 million euros (+11.1% organic).
CEO Stefan Heidenreich noted: “Beiersdorf has further picked up the pace with strong sales growth in the first nine months of 2017 … Consequently we increased market shares and strengthened our global position … With our expanded Blue & Beyond strategy we are building a solid foundation for further future success of our company.
