Ahold Delhaize launches in-store eateries at Albert Heijn | Progresiv
Albert Heijn has introduced a new in-store Bakery Café & Deli Kitchen concept in Amsterdam. The new concepts have launched in the Albert Heijn’s XL Gelderlandplein store, while the retailer revealed that the concepts will feature in dozens of stores. 
The new Bakery Café concept is located at the store entrance, offering coffee, cold drinks and freshly made sandwiches.
The Deli Kitchen offers a range of food for now and food for later, including salads, grilled chicken, pizzas and other dishes.
Commenting on the development, Marit van Egmond, commercial director at Albert Heijn said, ‘We see that traditional eating patterns are changing…With the opening of the Bakery Café and Deli Kitchen in Albert Heijn stores we take the next step in combining retail with food service’. (www.igd.com)
